Match Information

It was an entertaining Vauxhall International Match at Cardiff City Stadium between Wales and the Netherlands as Chris Coleman's team came from behind twice to draw level before Arjen Robben scored the winning goal in the 81st minute.

Bas Dost had put the Netherlands in the lead with a header on 32 minutes but Wales were given a chance to equalise after Terence Kongolo handled the ball in the box and a penalty was awarded.

Joe Allen stepped up to take the spot kick but saw his strike saved by Jasper Cillessen but Joe Ledley put the ball in the net on the follow-up to make it 1-1 on half-time.

Robben regained the lead for the Netherlands on 54 minutes when he dribbled and shimmied his way into the Wales 18-yard box before placing his shot to the left of Wayne Hennessey.

Wales refused to give up and were deserving of their equaliser to make it 2-2 in the 70th minute when Emyr Huws headed in his first goal for Wales.

Robben had the final say however, when he scored the winning goal nine minutes from the end of the match when the Welsh defence was sliced open with the Dutch captain getting on the end of the through ball to make it 3-2.

There were plenty of positives for Chris Coleman in this match, with Owain Fôn Williams and Adam Henley making their international debuts.
