The Pitchforks and Roughion to Provide Cup Final Soundtrack

Pre-match entertainment for fans attending the 2019 JD Welsh Cup Final at the Rock will be provided by two acts from the BBC Horizons/Gorwelion project. The Pitchforks will be opening the entertainment in the pre-match fan zone with an acoustic set and will be followed by a set from Welsh DJ duo Roughion.

The Pitchforks are a four-piece rock band from Treorchy in the Rhondda, while Aberystwyth based DJ duo Roughion are looking to break into the electronic music scene. Tracks by both artists have been used in the ‘Road to the final’ videos as part of the FAW’s build-up to the big day.

BBC Horizons/Gorwelion is a scheme in Wales which helps develop new, independent contemporary music. The FAW works with the scheme to help promote Welsh based bands and artists to a new audience mainly through the FAW’s online content.

This will be the second time BBC Horizons/Gorwelion will be at the JD Welsh Cup Final after Eadyth and Alex Evans performed at last year’s event.

Tickets for the final are available on the gate and you can find out more about HorizonsThe Pitchforks and Roughion on their social media pages.
