JD Welsh Cup Round 4 Draw

The draw for Round 4 of this season's JD Welsh Cup was made this evening on S4C's Heno programme.

Lowest-ranked side Pontardawe Town were rewarded for their victory over Buckley Town in Round 3 with a trip to Cymru Premier side Cefn Druids, who beat Guilsfield.

Ammanford's prize for beating Carmarthen Town 4-0 is a home tie against Caernarfon Town, whilst fellow Cymru South side Afan Lido will make the long trip north to play Connah's Quay Nomads.

Holders The New Saints will play Aberystwyth Town in the only confirmed all-Cymru Premier tie. Newtown will host Rhyl in a repeat of their clash in Round 3 last season, whilst Cardiff Met will travel to the winners of this coming Saturday's rearranged clash between Penybont and Porthmadog.

Two sides from Tier 2 will definitely make it through to the last eight. Cymru North leaders Prestatyn Town will travle to Swansea University whilst in an all Cymru North tie, Flint Town United will host Colwyn Bay on Deeside.
