The FAW Trust are excited to launch, ‘Footie Families’, a free online programme designed to encourage families to engage in fun activities that will help develop children’s fundamental movement skills.

The early childhood multi-skill programme for children aged 2-5 years, to experience alongside their parents or guardian, currently features four different fun and engaging sessions you can emulate at home, which centre on fairy-tale themes, including ‘Pirate Shore’ and ‘Magical Castle’, that can be accessed here.
The FAW Trust recognise the importance of supporting young people in developing a broad range of foundational skills for a physically active future, as these skills are essential for children’s participation in physical activity throughout life.
During these summer months, the FAWT hopes that families can use the brilliant and inclusive game of football to help develop their young children’s physical literacy and develop a collection of skills such as balancing, jumping, throwing and kicking.
