FAW Tier 2 Appeals Body Decisions

The FAW Tier 2 Appeals Body met in Cardiff today (22 May) to consider three appeals.

FAW Tier 2 Certification is mandatory to participate in Tier 2 of the FAW Pyramid for the 2019/2020 season.

Goytre FC, Port Talbot Town FC and STM Sports FC were initially refused Tier 2 Certification by the Independent Tier 2 First Instance Body on 8 May 2019 and submitted their appeals in accordance with the FAW Tier 2 Compliance Regulations.

Following the conclusion of the Appeals Body meeting, the following clubs were awarded Tier 2 Certification for the 2019/2020 season:  

  • Goytre FC 
  • STM Sports FC

In relation to Port Talbot Town FC, the Appeals Body upheld the decision of the First Instance Body not to award the club with Tier 2 certification for the 2019/2020 season. 

Below is confirmation of those clubs who have received Tier 2 Certification for the 2019/2020 season:

In addition, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and Llanelli Town all meet the FAW Tier 2 Certification Criteria which takes the total number of successful clubs to 45.

Of the remaining applications, the following clubs were not granted Tier 2 Certification for the 2019/2020 season:
