Cymru Yn Cofio

FA Wales have been working alongside the Royal British Legion (RBL) to say thank you to the First World War generation.

100 years ago the First World War ended. To commemorate this RBL are leading the nation in saying thank you to all who served, sacrificed and changed our world.

The Wales squad hold such respect for the First World War generation and endeavour to show this around Remembrance Day.

The video further details Welsh footballers such as; Stan Davies and Fred Keenor who returned from their service in the war to successful careers on the pitch, the women who kept our game alive and James Williams who had been capped twice for Wales and later killed on the battlefields of Northern France in June 1916, aged 30.
