Cymru U21 manager Paul Bodin has selected 22 players for his side’s UEFA U21 EURO 2023 Qualifying Round double header away to Moldova (Friday 8 October) and the Netherlands (Tuesday 12 October).
Bodin’s side come into the matches on the back of an impressive 4-0 win against Bulgaria last month. Hat-trick hero Jack Vale is included in the squad and Bodin welcomes the return of Brandon Cooper who was involved with the senior side last month. Also returning to the squad are Luke Jephcott and Terry Taylor who missed last month’s match due to COVID issues, while Siôn Spence is involved again following his one match suspension. Unfortunately, Ryan Stirk misses out through injury.
Cymru faced Moldova in a goalless draw in the opening match of the campaign at Stebonheath Park in June, while the match against the Netherlands will be first time the two nations have met at Under 21 level since 1996.
