Cymru will play a home double header in March against Austria and the USA in their first EURO 2020 preparation matches.
Cymru v Awstria
- 19:45 Friday 27 March
- Liberty Stadium, Swansea
CYMRU v USA
- 19:45 Monday 30 March
- Cardiff City Stadium
Ryan Giggs’ squad will return to the Liberty Stadium for the first time in seven years on March 27. The last friendly match played there in 2013 was in fact against Austria, where Gareth Bale and Sam Vokes scored in a 2-0 victory.
Cymru will face the USA at Cardiff City Stadium three days later on March 30, the first time a match will be played between the two countries in Wales. The two sides have met only once before in 2003, a game which ended in a 2-0 defeat in San Jose under the management of Mark Hughes.
It will be great to welcome the Welsh national team back to Swansea and the Liberty Stadium after a seven-year absence.
It’s been a fantastic few years for Wales and I’m sure the people of south west Wales and beyond will be looking forward to supporting Ryan Giggs’ team in action as they prepare for the Euro 2020 finals.
Both matches in March will provide a fantastic opportunity to support the national team in their preparation for the EURO 2020 finals tournament in June. These matches will be an integral part of Ryan Giggs’ preparations as he looks to shape his team of the first pan-Europe EURO finals.
Tickets, priced £20 for adults, £10 for those aged 65+ and £5 for juniors 16 and under, will go on sale for Red Wall Members at 10:00am on January 31 and will be available to purchase here.
