CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED FOR FORTHCOMING QUADRENNIAL FAW COUNCIL ELECTIONS

The FAW is pleased to announce the nominated candidates for the forthcoming quadrennial elections of the FAW Council.

The FAW Council members are representatives of FAW Member Clubs, Leagues and Area Associations, who help tailor the future of the sport and ensure all efforts to develop the game in Wales, from grassroots to the elite level, is continued.

The following candidates have been nominated by the Qualifying clubs for the forthcoming Council elections:

  • NORTH WALES COAST SUB-AREA (two (2) representatives to be elected)

The following four (4) candidates have been nominated:

JAMES, David

JONES, Eric Wyn

JONES, Mike

NEWPORT, Simon

 

  • NORTH EAST WALES SUB-AREA (two (2) representatives to be elected)

The following two (2) candidates have been nominated:

LAWRENCE, Stuart

ROWLAND, Chas

Both Stuart Lawrence and Chas Rowland are automatically appointed to the Council without the need for an election.

 

  • CENTRAL WALES SUB-AREA (two (2) representatives to be elected)

The following three (3) candidates have been nominated: 

EVANS, Graham

GRIFFITHS, Gareth

WILLIAMS, William Lloyd

 

  • SOUTH WALES AREA (six (6) representatives to be elected)

The following nine (9) candidates have been nominated:

COLE, David

DAVIES, Jeff

DYMOCK, Neil

EDWARDS, Viv  

FOXALL, Gavin

HARRIS, John

JAMES, Lee

MUGFORD, Rhodri

PRICE, Martin

 

  • LEAGUE OF WALES (one (1) representative to be elected)

The following one (1) candidate has been nominated:

WILLIAMS, Ian

Ian Williams is automatically appointed to the Council without the need for an election.

 

  • WELSH PREMIER WOMEN’S LEAGUE (one (1) representative to be elected)

The following two (2) candidates have been nominated:

PINDER, Robyn

TURNER, Tricia 

Voting Papers have been issued to the Qualifying Clubs participating in the elections. With elections taking place in four of the six areas, nominated candidates will need to canvass those Member Clubs, within the respective areas, to gain their support and vote.

Please note the deadline for the return of completed Voting Papers to the FAW is Thursday, 25 July 2019. 

The counting of the ballot papers will take place at The Football Association of Wales offices from 12pm on Monday 29th July 2019. Nominated candidates receiving the most votes from the Member Clubs will be elected to the FAW Council.
