Success on the pitch this month for the Cymru U21 and U19 sides was witnessed by more than 2,500 schoolchildren in both north and south Wales.

November results

Cymru U19 3-0 Poland U19

Cymru U19 2-2 Russia U19

Cymru U19 2-0 Kosovo U19

Cymru U21 1-0 Bosnia & Herzegovina U21

The FAW invited schools and colleges to support Paul Bodin and Rob Edwards’ sides for free of charge and young members of the Red Wall responded in numbers.

1,282 fans were part of the Red Wall at the Racecourse, Wrexham last Tuesday as a superb Liam Cullen strike ensured a 1-0 win against Bosnia & Herzegovina. At the halfway point of the #U21EURO qualifying campaign, Cymru sit third in the group and only one point away from group leaders Belgium.

Meanwhile in south Wales more than 1,300 fans attended the #U19EURO qualifying round matches involving Cymru. For a second consecutive year Rob Edwards’ side qualified for the elite round after wins against Poland and Kosovo and a draw against Russia.

As well as fans at the ground, more than 100,000 viewers tuned in to three of the matches which were live streamed on the FAW Facebook page.
